17.5 MidWest Modified Foam Tire Class
MOTOR: Reedy Spec Motor (see spec motor rules)
CHASSIS: Car width: 9.5” max, Chassis requirements can be made from Fiberglass or Carbon Fiber. The max width of the chassis at any point is 5”. From center line no wider than 2.5” left or right of center line. Pockets/cutouts in the chassis to put machined weights ect in chassis is not allowed. Weights maybe be bolted to top side of chassis. No Tungsten or Magnesium alloys allowed anywhere in chassis design or use of the chassis.
WHEELBASE: 11.75”-12.25”
BATTERY LOCATION: Right side of battery must be on centerline of car. Must run a conventional brick style battery. All batteries MUST be charged in a Lipo Sack. Batteries should not exceed 8.44 volts, will be checked with volt meter. No heating pads or devices for batteries.
ELECTRONIC LOCATIONS: Motor must be mounted in standard location. ESC and receiver must be mounted to the right side of the battery. Servo may be mounted anywhere on the front half of the chassis.
DRIVELINE: Any 3 Gear transmissions only. Motor plate must be mounted on the right side of transmission. Must use steel outdrives and cvd assembly. No aluminum or any other lightweight drivetrain parts. Including top shaft must remain in stock form. No cut or lightened transmission gears allowed. Steel Outdrives, Steel CVD kits only. No lightweight parts and no cut gears.
TOE IN: Even toe split in the rear. Toe blocks will have to be the same degree on both sides. Custom Works Game Changer Arms will be allowed to be used but will have to be marked, so they can not be adjusted. No adjustments of the rear arms will be allowed in the heats or mains, once the car is placed on the track any adjustments will result in an immediate disqualification.
ARMS: Arms must composite and or machined plastic. Arms must be the same length from side to side. No offsetting of arms is allowed.
FRONT SUSPENSION MOUNTS: No Off Set Bulkheads or Off setting of suspension mounts. They must be equal distance apart from centerline of the chassis. Bulkheads and Suspension mounts may be as narrow or as wide as you want but car must maintain a max width of 9.5”.
TIRES: Open foam tires. NO BSR or Custom Works Silver Tires.
SPEC BODIES: Sippel Speed Shop’s Part #FT-MWM & AFX Fab Part #F-0 From the bottom of the chassis, front of deck 3"min-3.5"max, rear deck 3.5"min-4"max. Deck must measure the same on both sides of car. Tilting the deck is not allowed. Body must be centered on chassis, may not be cantered in anyway. From center of rear axle to rear quarter panel 5"min-5.5"max. Rear Spoiler: maximum chord from body deck including any wickerbills .75" An under body support may be used to brace each rear quarter panel, but must hold it in a vertical position, cannot be flared out.
FRONT BUMPER: Must use bumpers supplied with body kits.
WEIGHT: min 59oz max 64oz OR min 3Lbs 11oz max 4Lbs (Any additional weight must added to top of chassis)
